JHREA Launches New Interactive Window Display

Jackson Hole Real Estate Associates, the exclusive affiliate of Christie’s International Real Estate, announced that they have forged an exclusive relationship for the Teton Region with imageSurge and their touch-screen technology.

imageSurge’s Interactive Real Estate Storefront™ enables people to search and view real estate listings from outside a real estate office storefront using through-window, touchscreen technology. The company’s patent-pending interface technology is the only one of its kind to operate through any type of commercial windows, including Low-E and double-pane. The product can also be utilized to provide details about open houses and community events; supports video and through-glass audio; and offers street-side usage statistics.

“Jackson Hole Real Estate Associates has positioned our company as the largest and most dynamic real estate firm in the Teton Region.  We pride ourselves on being on the forefront of technology and our new partnership with imageSurge is no exception,” said Bob Graham, JHRE Associate Partner.    “We are excited to offer this technology to the residents and visitors of Jackson Hole.  This infrared touch screen technology allows buyers and sellers to search properties and explore more about the Jackson market quickly through the use of a specialized screen that is installed in our office storefront windows at our flagship office location; 80 West Broadway, downtown Jackson. The initial feedback from our buyers, sellers and our Agents has been overwhelmingly positive, to say the least,” continued Graham.

“We are very proud to be the first real estate company in the region to offer a weather-proof usable search tool in a storefront that can be used at any time of day or night. At Jackson Hole Real Estate Associates, we consistently strive to provide the best possible tools and resources to our consumers and this latest innovation from imageSurge is a shining addition to our vast array of marketing services,” stated Bomber Bryan, JHRE Associates Partner.

Jackson Hole Real Estate Associates has plans to integrate additional imageSurge locations in 2014.  “We feel that this partnership offers great flexibility and promise as a resource to our clients and customers as we continue to establish Jackson Hole Real Estate Associates as the market leader for real estate listings and sales in the Teton Region,” stated Bomber Bryan.

“imageSurge is proud to partner with JHRE and to offer its customers access to a dynamic technology platform that fundamentally redefines the use of their storefront windows,” said Oleg A. Vyadro, President and COO, imageSurge.

Ski Magazine Readers Vote Jackson Hole North America’s Overall #1 Resort for 2014

The votes are in, and Jackson Hole Mountain Resort (JHMR) has been ranked #1 Overall Resort in North America by the annual SKI Magazine Reader’s Poll.

SKI Magazine’s survey, now in its 26th year, provides an annual snapshot of the Top 50 resorts in North America. Readers rank resorts in 20 different categories that include anything from snow and lifts, to dining and service.  The SKI survey is the longest-running annual resort survey in the winter sports industry and since 2005, the #1 award has been dominated by Deer Valley, Vail Mountain and mostly recently Whistler in 2013.  Last winter JHMR was #6 overall and before that, had not been ranked inside the top ten. “This award truly reflects the combined efforts of our ownership, the dedicated JHMR staff, and the Jackson Hole community,” stated JHMR President, Jerry Blann.

Jackson Hole earned the top spot this year, as well as Top 10 rankings in a wide range of areas, from Challenge and Character (both # 1’s) to Lodging (# 3) and Service (# 7).  For a mountain never known for extensive grooming until the recent “All New All Blue” initiatives, Jackson Hole ranked #19 in grooming this year. “Jackson Hole has done as good of a job as any resort in recent memory of expanding its appeal to a wider audience, now offering a remarkable experience to skiers of all talents and tastes,” Greg Ditrinco, Editor of SKI Magazine says.

These results affirm the community’s goal to continually improve the guest experience year over year.  “The Kemmerer Family and JHMR’s Board of Directors have been dedicated to improving the infrastructure of the resort and with their focused leadership; over $135 Million in on-mountain improvements have been invested. That, combined with the hard work of JH Air, the JH Travel & Tourism Board, Wyoming Tourism and the passionate local community, has transformed Jackson Hole into a premier winter destination,” Blann commented, and added, “This is an exciting time for JHMR and all of Jackson Hole.  Our plan is to continue on the path that has led to this #1 award – staying true to our independent spirit, our western hospitality and a truly authentic offering in the ski industry.”

“This positions Jackson Hole on a strong footing heading into this season.  Additionally, we are in good company with the Mountain Collective partnership, five of our Mountain Collective Resort partners are in the SKI Top 15, with Whistler (#6), Snowmass (#9), Aspen Mountain (#13) and Mammoth (#14).  It validates that SKI readers believe in the unique and high caliber resort experiences these mountains offer,” stated JHMR Chief Marketing Officer, Adam Sutner.

Jackson Hole opens for the winter 2013-14 season on November 28th, and continues to famously deliver epic powder snow, 4,139 continuous vertical feet, 2500 acres of the best beginner, intermediate and expert skiing and snowboarding in North America and a genuine “Last of the Old West” atmosphere. Neighboring the legacy National Parks of Yellowstone and Grand Teton and operating in Bridger Teton National Forest, there is no more spectacular setting for a destination resort in the world. And now Jackson Hole is one of the most easily accessed destination resorts in the West with direct flights from twelve major cities, including new non-stop flights from JFK, Houston* and Seattle in addition to San Francisco, Minneapolis and Newark last winter.

JHREA Opens New Downtown Flagship Location

The location at 80 West Broadway has premier frontage on Broadway in the heart of Jackson’s retail district, just 1 block from the Town Square.  Directly across the street from the historic Wort Hotel, Jackson Hole Real Estate Associates occupies 9,000 square feet of office and meeting space. Completely renovated, this location is the most premier and technologically advanced real estate office in the valley.

Single-Family Homes Selling Fast in 2012

JH Property Guide Market Watch
By Emma Breyess, Jackson Hole Daily

Sales of single-family homes buttressed an improving Jackson Hole real estate market during the first three months of 2012, according to data released this week in The Hole Report.

“The hot spot in the market right now is single-family homes between $400k to $500k,” David Viehman and Devon Viehman-Wheeldon wrote. The father-daughter team are partners at Jackson Hole Real Estate Associates. The pair releases valley-wide market data quarterly.

First-quarter data shows that almost half the real estate sales in 2012 have been homes, a 14 percent increase over the same time last year.

The authors called the trend an indicator that the area’s real estate sector is slowly but surely recovering from the Great Recession.

The report, at www.holereport.com, also projected the current inventory of single-family homes would last about four months.

Residential lots also saw a spike in popularity in early 2012, with the report citing an 83 percent increase in vacant land sales over the same time last year.

Viehman and Viehman-Wheeldon said vacant lots appeal to second-home buyers who have not seen what they wanted in the existing home inventory.

These tend to be higher-ticket purchases rather than single-family homes, according to the report.

More than half of the vacant lots now on the market are priced at more than $1 million, according to the report.

The report predicts a robust summer for the real estate market, and a continued interest in single-family homes. It also urges sellers to price properties correctly, saying that buyers these days are focused on getting a “good value.”

Jackson Hole Makes National Geographic’s Ultimate Adventure Bucket List 2012

Must-Do Trip: Ski Jackson Hole, Wyoming

Lynsey Dyer

Big-Mountain Skier

Despite the handful of swanky resorts at its base, Jackson Hole is still the Wild West of American skiing. “It’s hard enough to get to so that it feels remote,” says Lynsey Dyer, who calls Jackson Hole her home base. “And in my opinion, it’s the best resort in the lower 48 with the best skiing.”

Jackson famously lays claim to the country’s longest continuous vertical relief (some 4,139 quadricep-busting feet), a preponderance of nail-biting terrain, and a liberal out-of-bounds policy, attracting a pack of resident pro athletes like Tommy Moe, Travis Rice, and Jess McMillan. Runs like Corbet’s Couloir and Meet Your Maker—steep, narrow chutes with little room for error—give Jackson its reputation, but there’s plenty of less rowdy terrain. Try The Crags, a hike-to area with troves of fresh tracks and pillow drops or opt for an introduction to backcountry skiing with a guided tour—offered by the resort—straight off the tram and out of the backcountry gate. Come four o’clock, migrate to Teton Thai, a local favorite where visitors rub shoulders with grizzled old-timers and TGR film stars alike.
